Why Pink Dahlia?
As the daughter of two garden enthusiasts, I often received flowers from my parents, including gerber daisies, orchids, irises and dahlias. A favorite of mine is the dahlia. These late season bloomers add a colorful surprise to the garden just as other plants are starting to fade. They give us a little more summer just when we think summer is done. Pink Dahlia was named in the spirit of my parents, who taught me the importance of connecting with nature as a way to fuel the soul.
Why t-shirt quilts?
Few things compare to the comfort of wrapping yourself in a warm, soft blanket. When that blanket is made from precious memories, it feels even a little warmer. My mom taught me to sew and helped me learn the craft of quilt-making. I love using this gift to create one-of-a-kind blankets that will preserve memories while creating comfort.
